MEETINGS:

Monthly meetings are usually held on the second Monday of the month with a few exceptions – December we are all out working making this season of many many celebrations in all cultures and beliefs super special.

Who is in our MEMBERSHIP?

Our membership includes professional and professionally trained face painters, magicians, balloon artists and other children and family entertainers in addition to clowns. The number of years of experience in Birthday Parties, Christmas Parties, Community Events is extensive. If you are looking for someone who does this not only as a hobby but as a professional who’ll bump up to fun at your next corporate or family event, we have the people you want.

AFFILIATES WITH OTHER CLOWN ORGANIZATIONS

The RainCoast Clown Troupe was founded in 2002. This “alley” was formally established in 2005.

As of 2010, some of our members belong to Alley #24952 of the World Clown Association (WCA) as well. In 2013 we became a lifetime alley of the World Clown Association. Presently 2 of our members sit on the board of WCA. The WCA holds an annual convention. In March of 2016 it will be in Florida. All are welcome!

LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

Our members are dedicated to networking and mentoring. We help each other. At our meetings we share our knowledge of marketing and advertising, magic, face-painting, balloon sculpture, juggling and everything else.

We have no secrets; believing that if one entertainer looks better, we all look better.

 

OTHER ACTIVITIES:

Parades: We participate in 6 to 8 parades around the lower mainland each year as well. It’s a great way to try clowning. Being in a supportive group helps new clowns or “first of Mays”

Balloon Jams: We also get together monthly to practice balloon sculpture and socialize in a little cafe in South Surrey. The jam convenes at 10:30 am, usually on the 4th Thursday of every month.  We give our creations to the children who are there. Maybe we can teach you to make a flower or a cat?
